Women's & Children's Hospital launch new Foundation-backed information folder Parents of children with newly diagnosed blood disorders now have a valuable additional source of information to help them understand and cope with their situation. On Monday 25th September 2006, the Women's & Children's Hospital (WCH) launched the "Childhood Blood Disorders" information folder, created with financial assistance from the Hudson Maher Foundation. The folder will now be automatically provided to the families of all children being treated for blood disorders at the hospital. The information contained within the folder answers all the most commonly asked questions by parents at this difficult time and attempts to minimise the fear and confusion that they will almost certainly be feeling. Contents will also be added to regularly during hospital visits as the patient's treatment progresses.
